What is MAJA?

MAJA Humanity Foundation is a non-profit organization based in India, Punjab and is dedicated to lift people, particularly girls and women from vulnerable and economically weaker backgrounds out of poverty, to tackle socio-cultural issues and to address health related problems and give children with little or no opportunities the ability to strengthen their talents and enable them to raise their voice and transform society in a positive manner.

Our Vision is a world where poverty does not exist at all and where all people live in dignity and are treated equally. Our Mission is to undertake educational, socio-economic and healthcare programmes for the welfare of economically weaker individuals of the general public, irrespective of caste, community, religion, gender, sexual orientation or creed.

Objective1

Education

To promote the cause of education through the funding and/ or promotion of educational hubs like schools, colleges and lecture halls - to provide assistance for the promotion of vocational studies and other self-improvement activities - to provide facilities in the form of scholarships,

scholarships, grants or in other manners to the deserving and economically weaker students - to promote education in all areas of life including the awareness of HIV/ AIDS, drug abuse, human trafficking, hygiene issues and contraceptives

Objective 2

Socio-cultural issues

to address socio- cultural issues prevailing in the society, which includes raising awareness of the significance of girls/ women in families and communities, help women who were victims of gender-based violence, promote equality of all people - to help to empower disadvantaged groups and to implement schemes and assistance programs that will help to facilitate their skills/ talents.

To attend the medical needs of the oppressed and economically weaker sections of society by setting up clinics and mobile clinics
